Vacuum jacketed piping (VJP), also known as vacuum insulated piping, is a specialized type of piping system designed for the efficient and safe transport of cryogenic liquids, such as liquefied natural gas (LNG), liquid nitrogen (LN2), and liquid oxygen (LOX). These liquids are stored and transferred at extremely low temperatures, and the vacuum jacketed piping system ensures minimal heat transfer, maintaining the cryogenic state and reducing product loss due to vaporization.
